Shinymons: Volume 1

Hey everybody! Back with Pokemon related stuff once again, how about that Third gen hype? ^^ Though as of right now I won't just be focused on third gen in general, but instead Shiny Pokemon!

These are the four beauties I have aquired over the past few months of this year,and, admittedly, the first four legitimate shinies I've ever gotten XD (as in non traded, cheated, or event-based like the ever-popular Gyarados.)

I tried to make their personalities match their Natures, as people tend to do with their Pokemon OCs aswell, while Riley is ideally Modest,I had her riding Tyrantrum to seem bold-like and such, and Ampharos calmly reading a book to reflect her Docile nature,and so on and so forth.

Riley the Pikachu

I've had a long overdue strive for this baby, I tried to find one in both my Fire Red AND Soul Silver before I got my Y, and both times I got impatient and called it quits once it reached the month mark. So of COURSE I get it in just one weekend on my third and final try, thank god XD And I was so happy too, as for awhile I've always had a Shiny Pikachu OC whom is basically my first OC ever and my icon on my Youtube, so I was exceptionally happy to get this one above my other three, though all of my Shinies were a joy to encounter~

Date Obtained: May 5th, 2014

Gender: Female

Nature: Bold (+Defense, -Attack, may try again for a Modest one but if so won't be for awhile XD)

Characteristic: Quick to flee





Frosting the Tyrantrum

This magnificent bastard carried my team SO god-damn far in my Y playthrough, he's even the first of my Pokemon I trained to level 100 in my Y XD but my god, his name... I literally couldn't come up with anything good(and unique, as many people who get a shiny Tyrunt tend to name him Chomper or Sharptooth, so I didn't want to go that route, not to insult them or anything.) so I just named him Frosting for his colorful body, and yes I obviously know his crown and tail aren't yellow when Shiny, I Just liked the contrast.

Date Obtained: May 29th, 2014

Gender: Male

Nature: Adamant(+Attack -Sp.Attack)

Moveset: Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Crunch, Poison Fang/Earthquake(I switch the two around occasionally for competitive play, I most often stick to EQ though since almost all fairies are special attacking anyway, which unfortunately T-trum can't take for crap XP And he also has Dragon Dance as another eggmove, which I occasionally apply for when I'm feeling daring enough to try to sweep~)

Characteristic: Capable of taking hits





Alexandria(fun fact about this name, it is the name of a lighthouse on the island of pharos, so I thought it was a great substitute to her original name, which was nice and cliche Candy XD) the Ampharos

Like my Shiny Pikachu, this was another Shiny I had been seeking out since I got Soul Silver, but never actually ran into, but this was finally remedied on Y after around a month of Sweet-Scent+Static encounters, its funny because I had been watching a movie as I was hunting, and I had my volume off on my DS to fully hear the film. But I just happened to look down right as the screen darkened breifly to signal a shiny sparkle,and I did a double take and waited for the camra to Panal across the screen so I could see all five mareeps, and bam! Sitting in the far left was a nice and adorable cotton candy sheep~

Like with my Pikachu once again, I was fortunate enough for it be a female like I wanted, which is cool, and as a side note for the record Mega-Ampharos looks Amazing as a shiny

Date Obtained: June 22nd, 2014

Gender: Female

Nature: Docile(Neutral)

Characteristic: Highly Persistent

Obtained through: As a Mareep through Horde Encountering on route 12(the only route where you can even GET Mareep, but I digress.)

Moveset: Thunderbolt/Discharge(for potential para-hax), Cotton Guard, Power Gem, and Signal beam/Dragon Pulse.





Chirin the Skiddo

My most recent Shiny whom I am currently training into a competitive Gogoat~ I had quite a few nickname ideas for him like Mei(Arashi no Yoru Ni Reference lolz), Gogurt, or my favorite Capricorn as he's a goat and all, but I had a sudden remembrance of a japanese short film called Chirin no Suzu(Translates into "The ringing bell of Chirin")about a young Ram whose mother is killed by a Wolf, and in his rage he seeks out to train under said wolf's guidance so he can one day become strong enough to take vengeance, and the idea just seemed too epic to pass up XD I do however think I'll seek out another shiny Skiddo to name Capricorn though, because I really do LOVE that name on Skiddo

Funnily enough I intended for him to be my first chained Shiny, I even got to a streak of 32 before messing up the night before I got him, and after getting over my initial annoyance and disappointment I told myself I WOULD do it tomorrow, no exceptions, then what do ya know the next morning I was just barely at a chain of 4 when I happened across a full-odds Shiny Skiddo in a normal patch, considering your odds don't actually increase in chaining until you reach the double-digits, it was such a pleasant surprise ^^

Gender: Male

Nature: Quirky(Neutral)

Characteristic: Capable of taking hits

Obtained through: Random encountering/Attempted Chaining

Moveset(Soon to be): Milk Drink(Quite awkward to think about since he's a guy...) Earthquake, Horn Leech/Seed Bomb, and Wild Charge.

And SEVERAL more, however these bunch are the ones I want the most and will go for first before I pursue the others, so yeah.
